A weekend with the husband away

The setup fits in one line of Crushi's synopsis. A husband leaves for a weekend business trip, and his wife, 35, bored and fearless in the synopsis's words, sets out to fluster his shy son, who is 23. She finds out that he has been waiting for her since the wedding. It is a step-family premise between two adults: the son is her husband's, and she joined the family by marrying his father. The tags, Forbidden, Summer, Older Woman, Cheating, Shy Guy and Seduction, fill in the rest of the frame, with the absent husband as the reason the weekend belongs to the two of them.

The synopsis gives no age for the husband and names no place. Two other Crushi series touch on family ties: Harvest pairs a woman of 22 with her stepmother's husband, and Stay the Weekend lists step-sibling roles in its cast, although its synopsis tells a story about best friends. While He's Away is the most direct of the three, with the tie written into the premise itself. Both of its leads are adults, and Crushi's Terms ban content involving anyone under 18 across the platform, Shorts included.

Anya, Leo and Richard Hale

Crushi's cast list for the series credits three characters: Anya as the wife, Leo as the love interest and Richard Hale as the husband. The synopsis itself uses no names, so the list is where they come from. Each name opens a chat character on the platform, which means a viewer can go on talking to the cast after the series ends. Anya also plays the wife in Harvest, the same character profile placed in a second story, while the Leo of Stay the Weekend is a separate profile that happens to share the name.

Three Crushi series have four episodes, and at 5:26 this is the longest of them, ahead of Off Limits (Crushi Shorts) at 4:03 and Bedside Manner at 3:51. The episodes average about 1:22, above the catalog's 1:07, and they lengthen after the first two, reaching 1:30 in the finale. The titles track the weekend the synopsis describes, from the departure in "Business Trip" to "Sunday Morning," so the story covers about two days in under six minutes. Crushi gives no summary for single episodes beyond those titles.

Close to half of it plays free

"Business Trip" (1:16) and "Movie Night" (1:14) are open to a guest with no account, 2:30 in all and 46% of the runtime. Among the 12 series, only Swim Lessons gives away a larger share of itself. A free Explorer account adds no episode. Harvest is the nearest relative inside Crushi. Anya is the wife there too, the premise again turns on a family tie through marriage, and we rate it one step higher, at 5, over a shorter 3:42. On other platforms, stepmother stories are familiar ground for our scale. Date With My Stepmom on Candy Shorts starts with a husband who cancels a dinner date, and My Goth Stepmom on Secrets AI starts with a father who remarries; both are a 4, like this series. In our viewing, Crushi's episodes come close to Candy's in length and production, and the logo is the clearest difference on screen.
