Pool Man: a short Secret Shorts story in five parts

Premise

Miles cleans pools across a neighborhood and is convinced the homeowners on his route barely register him. They do: led by Sofia, they begin to make their interest obvious, and the series turns on his discovery that he is far from invisible. All the characters are adults, and the action follows his round from one private home and pool to the next. Unlike the two series above it in the ratings, it has no family tie or household at its center, only a working man and the clients on his route.

Five quick episodes

Pool Man is one of the briskest titles on Secret Shorts: five episodes and 6:05 in total, each between 1:01 and 1:21. Only Keep It Professional (4:33, three episodes) and The Odickssey (5:36) are shorter overall. Its opening episode, at 1:01, is the shortest first episode among the five series we cover, and the five stay close in length. In our viewing, Secret Shorts episodes average about 1:40 to 1:59, so Pool Man moves faster than most of the catalog.

Sofia and the homeowners

Sofia is the one companion listed in the cast, and in the story she leads the homeowners on Miles's route. She is an official Secrets AI companion credited to Secrets Originals, a fictional adult rather than a real person. A different companion, also called Sofia, leads Plus One, so the two profiles are separate characters that share a name. Her card in the player opens her profile, and the end screen offers a chat with her once an episode finishes.

Free and locked episodes

As a guest you can play episode 1, all 1:01 of it. Episode 2 needs a free account, and its direct link, secrets.ai/shorts?short=pool-man&episode=2, opened the episode without a gate in a signed-in free account when we tested it. Episodes 3, 4 and 5 stay locked for free accounts and need Premium or Ultimate, each unlocked in sequence with Moments. With episodes this short, an unlock buys a little over a minute of video; our free and paid guide has the numbers.

How explicit it gets

We rate Pool Man 3 of 5, Hot, on our explicitness scale, the level where a series shows nudity and sex scenes while the plot still gets more screen time than at 4 or 5. Secrets AI marks it as adult content in its catalog, and its covers are clothed by default, changing only if a viewer turns on the Spicy preference. The story involves several adult homeowners rather than one partner, which sets it apart from the pairings at the center of the other most rated series.

Where to watch Pool Man

Pool Man opens in the Secrets AI player from its direct link or from its card, third in the default order of the Shorts grid. As with the rest of the catalog, there is no standalone page, and the series streams vertically in the browser after the 18+ confirmation. Secret Labs Inc. runs the site, and our Secrets AI platform guide covers the operator, the billing name and the content policies.

Our take

Pool Man is the quickest way to see what Secret Shorts does: the whole series takes about six minutes, and it sits third in the rating counts, behind My Dirty Step Sister and MAID TO PLEASE. The trade-off is depth, since episodes of about a minute leave less room for a story to build than the longer chapters of those two. The free first episode is a fair test of whether the premise works for you before you unlock the last three.
